Patricia graduated with a degree in physiotherapy from the Federal University of Pernambuco (Recife - Brazil) in 1999. She also completed their Osteopathy and Pilates course 15 years later.

Patricia owned a unit of a physiotherapy network, called ITC, where she worked more than 9 years.

In Canada, Patricia graduated from Seneca College in Toronto in 2019, where she studied business marketing. In 2023, she graduated with a degree in massage therapy and had the opportunity to work as an instructor for Medix College.

Whether working as a physiotherapist or massage therapist, Patricia is passionate about helping restore movement and function when someone is affected by injury, illness or disability.

Elaine Ruz is a licensed physiotherapist and the owner of UniPhysio. She specializes in treating temporomandibular (TMJ) disorders, face and neck pain using hands-on therapy and BIOFLEX laser therapy.

She has been in practice for over 15 years, beginning with her residency training in Brazil at the Association for Assistance of Disabled Children (Associação de Assistência à Criança Deficiente).

After immigrating to Canada in 2014, Elaine joined the physiotherapy team at West Park Healthcare Centre, focusing on neurological rehabilitation and helping patients recover from joint replacements.

In 2015, she opened Elaine Ruz Physiotherapy in Toronto, which soon became a thriving practice focused on treating patients with TMJ disorder and facial pain. Elaine uses a conservative, evidence-based approach to treating these challenging conditions, and has helped more than 1000 TMJ patients find pain relief.

In 2023, Elaine moved her practice to Oakville, expanding to include registered massage therapists and other physiotherapists. At UniPhysio, she continues to provide comprehensive, evidence-based treatment for TMJ disorders in a welcoming, compassionate setting.

Elaine is a devoted mother of two and enjoys skiing with her family, cooking, and crafts.

Denisha Thompson, Registered Physiotherapist Denisha is a Registered Physiotherapist in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario, with a strong clinical background in orthopedic and pelvic health physiotherapy. She has worked across multiple outpatient clinics in the GTA, gaining experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including neck and back pain, joint injuries, and postural dysfunction. Denisha also has experience working with pediatric populations in a specialized care setting. Denisha has a special interest in pelvic health physiotherapy and has completed additional training in this area, allowing her to support women, men, and children with pelvic floor-related concerns. Sienna graduated from the University of Toronto with a Master of Science in Physical Therapy, following her Bachelor of Science in Medical Sciences from Western University. She pursued electives in vestibular and concussion therapy and gained hands-on experience in diverse clinical settings, including neurological rehabilitation, geriatrics, and sports medicine. She has also completed advanced training for pelvic health therapy.

Her professional journey began as a Korean medical interpreter, where she found her passion for patient care and rehabilitation, shaping her empathetic and culturally sensitive approach. Her treatments emphasize effective communication, education and self-management, empowering patients with tailored home exercise programs and active patient involvement in their rehabilitation journey.

Outside the clinic, Sienna enjoys staying active with bodyweight training, travelling, singing and exploring new languages.
